The Sun, Moon, and Five Peaks(Irworobondo) is a traditional Korean painting that stood behind the king's throne during the Joseon dynasty(1392-1910). The throne and the painting symbolize the ruler's position at the center of the universe. The striking colors and beauty of symmetry make this painting powerful.
I wanted to mimic the energy and texture of the king's throne.
